Good piece by Tm Friedman today. It's true that the Bushies totally deserve the mess they are in over this port thing, but the level of nationalist tension in the world today is reminiscent of pre-WWI. VERY SCARY. I read the other day that someone in Iran renamed Danish Patries to something Mohammed pastries in response to the cartoon mess. It was "freedom fries" all over again, which makes it clear where this xenophobia began, here, post-9/11 thanks to Bush and company.
